S3 – Ep 1 - End of Year Vinyl Hauls, Uncut ’90s Picks & December ’79 Chart Classics

Shawn Farmer & Craig Vennes Season 3 Episode 1

It’s our first episode of 2026, and Shawn and Craig kick off the new year the only way they know how—talking records, rediscoveries, and chart history.

💿 Shawn’s Annual Christmas Haul:
Shawn starts things off by breaking down his latest vinyl haul from Noble Records in North Carolina, an annual post-Christmas tradition. Plenty of gems, surprises, and reasons why this stop has become a must-visit every year.

🛒 Craig’s Recent Purchases:
Craig follows up with a look at two recent pickups, both of which would’ve easily landed in his previous Top 5 Albums of the Year. One in particular? An album he was just complaining about never being reissued—until it finally was. Timing is everything.

📚 Uncut’s Top Albums of the ’90s – 10 More Down:
The duo continues their long-running journey through Uncut Magazine’s Top Albums of the 1990s, pulling 10 more random selections and inching closer to the finish line.

📅 December 1979 – Top 10 Singles (UK & US):
To close things out, Shawn revisits the Top 10 singles from December 1979, comparing the UK and US charts and digging into the sounds that closed out the decade.

NOTE: Sorry for the abrupt ending, as Shawn's audio fizzled out at the last minute.  Womp womp womp!
